a question for you - i put 2 capfuls of olive oil in the breadmaker (i assume it’s about 1.5 <2 tablespoons) 420g of flour loaf - should i whack a bit more in?

good bread is vital. i put heaps of wheatgerm in my bread precisely because of the texture when it’s toasted

trouble is a lot of commercial bread dries out before it chars, though being able to put your own through is a good set up - breakfast is how i measure any hotel
guess you’d best put a decent toaster in that carpet bag

it’s essential! i mean, i love italy but even if i was rich and even if there was no climate crisis i could not go back until they get with the idea of toast

i make my tea in a one cup plunger. it’s just fuss free. and i guess from the way i dress people know i don’t care how i appear
their choice is $x for providing hot water and a cup, or nothing
when i used to visit my mother in a rural nursing home, i would go to the local store for breakfast. they sold bacon and egg sans]dwiches, and then i could go through this whole negotiation of “can you put the eggs and bacon on a plate please, and the toast on the side?” gears sometimes grind inside people’s heads, but 9 times out of 10 they are happy to give me what i want, so long as it;s not some franchise.

yes. on the rare occasions i must be out and about i go into a cafe, pull out my single plunger with tea leaves in bottom and say “i’ll pay you the price of a cup of tea, and save you a teabag”
