I think the main cause of this outcome is that the U.S. is currently VERY RAPIDLY becoming majority non-WhiteChristianEuropean. It is happening at a stunning pace. Trump's campaign was "I will deport the illegal immigrants" but no doubt was meant as and heard as "I will stop this change".

But it won't stop. Which is why also there is an attempt at Jim Crow II.

There will be lots of media and pols explaining what happened, but they will ignore this plain evidence.
