There have been a lot of people who thought that educational films would replace teaching. You could just have a whole series of film reels and put them in the projector and BOOM education.
Did educators reject movies? Not really. I think most teachers will show a video clip if it's helpful.
But, it kind of shocking how little the technology of film is used in education compared to some of the early projections.
