HEEY do you know about the chirp? I assume you’ve heard the bloodcurdling screams, but they also chirp. Here’s a trail cam video.
At our first cabin in Boulder Creek, lions would walk down the road at night, right past our bedroom window. We’d hear them chirp. The guy across the street had trail cams on the (one lane) street and he’d share the videos the next day.
They were utterly unafraid of humans, but didn’t start shit. They would snatch even quite large dogs from the yard if you let them out at night, but honestly, they’re a lot less hassle than living in bear forests!
