It's not Tapinoma melanocephalum (Ghost Ant) they have a dark head and other differences. There aren't a lot of people logging ants in Sri Lanka only 131 species identified when it should be closer to 500+ So, it is very likely that this isn't in iNaturalist in your region yet.
It also means this is "hard mode" when it comes to identifying ants.
These little ones are so pretty I want to know!
Were these ants absurdly tiny? Like 2mm long?
