I'm disappointed by the Amtrack "Southwest Chief" train going from Chicago to LA through Kansas City, Albuquerque, Flagstaff...
The landscapes are pretty unremarkable and you certainly have time to see how unremarkable they are since the train goes at 50-70mph.
However it's perfect to understand the immensity of this country.
I don't think Europeans truly understand how absolutely huge... and empty the USA are.
