Ah damn. The game's not that long to blast through though. Once you know what you're doing it's only a few hours long at most (just don't do it more than twice, you will hate the story to an extreme degree).
There's also the Steam save editor which can be used to pretty easily recreate all you'd care about in your save file. Not sure if it still works but I could test.
