Do you find that you’ve got your own secret, gobbledygook language that only makes sense to you, and no one else?

When I’m following a complicated pattern, I find myself saying things like “two normal followed by three diamonds then jump one until the end,” or “a nugget every two stitches until the frame then one every other stitch.”

I won’t translate what this means, it’s a secret language after all 😝

I find this way helps me remember what I’m up to without having to check the chart ever three stitches 😅

Sometimes my wife overhears me muttering these jingles to myself, she’s learned not ask what they mean, only because she’s not a knitter and I’ll go in minute detail telling her what they mean and she starts falling asleep 😳
