Got a very good deal on ebay for a used supermicro server. Didn't really pay more than others pay for a gaming pc (something around 1k to 1.5k). I can just recommend keeping an eye on ebay listings for such stuff and at some point you'll may be lucky too. Took a while to find such a good deal ngl. (Also btw, htop is kinda annoying to use with that many vCores, it can at most do 4 columns for the CPUs, should patch it at some point...)
