My parents still have the little Kitchenaid that was in my Granddad's restaurant in the 50's. I haven't checked recently, but for years after Hobart sold off the Kitchenaid name, they were still making more or less the same mixer as a Hobart-branded one for restaurant use, and they were designed to be repaired, not replaced. So it's completely rebuildable with new parts if necessary.
