Another possible scenario is that it be done in a decentralized way. The principles are similar, but the operationalization is more widespread, as proposed by the Solid project (https://solidproject.org). Perhaps this is a path that makes more sense from an American perspective.

I tend to think this could be very interesting for improving the quality of interactions and giving a different direction to the dynamics of interaction on the internet. Of course, this should be done in a way that allows people to choose to participate and – of course – it shouldn't be something that works at the connection level. Perhaps at another level. This way, people will still retain the possibility of choosing contexts in which they don't want to be identified for whatever reason.
