She never preached at me or tried to convert me. She didn't give me this cross. A gentleman at the church she attends makes them to give away to people. I attended a couple of services while I was there and took one of the crosses to remind me of what I learned during that time, that people want to help when you're having a difficult time. I'm someone who finds it hard to ask for help. But I got lots of help from many people in those difficult months.
