The fortunate thing is that NY's public school system (not including the privage college Columbia) seems to be holding strong against this.
The horrifying thing is that these poor kids are being raised in an environment that fosters this MAGA shit and "bible lessons" instead of trying to teach actual school lessons. Except that these "bible lessons" discriminate against non Christian students and are the equivalent of twisting the scripture. Not to say religion isn't like that.
