It was artisans VS capitalist machine. It quite probably failed as much due to guaranteed unskilled work, against a few skilled workers. Grinding poverty has played its part throughout Britain's history.
I don't know if Luddism will ever be truly revived. LLMs are too nebulous, and they seem to be in everything. The artisans are also not a discrete group. They are spread through all facets of production---including the coders who create LLMs.
Destroying OpenAI, and Palantir, is just knocking the tip off an iceberg.
Which is not to say just give up. It means to look for the roots, and poison them.
