I was thinking today, and Cory Doctorow (npub1fdr…lvhs) corroborated it, about how the UK's liberal/leftist part has been called "Labour" for many decades. The idea is that workers--dare I say it *socialism*--is the core principle. The same used to be true of Canada's New Democratic Party, although without the explicit name.
