The key political economic problem for the UK is we've a political class that has been coopted & captured by (what many would call) the capital class, but which we might better term: the corporate interest.
While our political class accept the notion that what is good for corporations is good for the UK, we will not find a route to regulatory reform - rather we need a capitalism that balances the need & interests of all economic classes better; which in my view is possible
