This past February, Cory Doctorow (npub1fdr…lvhs) recommended "The Murder Next Door", a graphic novel by Hugh D'Andrade. He characterized the story as "a haunting, beautiful meditation on masculinity, trauma, and fear." It certainly was, along with the recognition that empathy and compassion are hallmarks of both a healthy person and a healthy society. Our society is not overflowing with these qualities just now.
