Anyway, the story my uncle told me was that shortly after Boeing started delivering the 727’s to United this older colleague was tasked with moving an empty 727 from Chicago to some city in the west, probably Denver. This pilot told his wife to hang up her laundry in the yard at a specific time, and look for him overhead. Apparently he flew over at the appointed time, low in altitude, and did a barrel roll in the 727! (2/3)
