One reason Apple’s 30% cut of IAPs rankles developers is that it follows the console model without the same business model.
Consoles are sold at a loss to gain marketshare and then XBox, Playstation, etc charge developers 30% to recoup.
Except the iPhone isn’t a loss leader.
