In the 1860s, my great great grandfather built this house. It's about 40 sq. m, with a small loft and a boathouse below. It's a stacked timber house and the timber was transported by row boat. It took years to plan, prepare and build.

They had 12 kids in this house. 3 died while young, and 9 lived. His brother also lived there, so they were 12 in total.

Two of the daughters never married and lived there their entire lives. My dad renovated it in the 90s after it had been empty for decades.
