I wasn't sure either so I looked it up. It's Mexico which as we know is quite severely crime ridden but safe in other places. I never had one issue in the four times I went there.

For any fair sort of comparison, one would have to check stats on all sorts of things. I rarely ever hear Brits complain of crime except for that one group.

Here I'm not sure because they're somewhat revered and a very large population, at least in BC. Things have changed a lot over the years to put various top dogs in charge of crime in BC and now we have a premier who encourages it. The mayors do too. No one seems to know what to do with the large populations of homeless we haven't been able to manage since Vancouver was first founded and it dawned on people that it's near impossible to do much outdoor labour for 8-10 months of the year. That applies to most of Canada. I mean people of course work outdoors all year long but it's not pleasant working in a northern rainforest.
