I heard about a recent study that found that binge drinkers have an increased risk of dementia.
Most think that binge drinking isn’t them…..but it’s defined as 4 drinks at one setting.
I heard this in the car and I was like “I WAS RIGHT!!!!”
Because…..I used to see those news segments where old people would say the secret to getting old. Some of them ate junk, some of them never exercised….but NONE of them drank. (I was able to see the pattern over time.)

It’s a good watch if you have any interest in separates at birth stories. One was put with a lower class family, one with a middle class family, and one with a well off family. I think it was the middle class guy who committed suicide as his father was a total dick. I’ve seen the documentary a few times as it’s interesting to me. I know this is not anywhere close, but I’ve found long lost family as an adult. You have all these ideas about how thy are family so of course it’s awesome and you’re happy to finally meet them….but eventually reality sets in that they are just strangers who physically resemble you in one way or another. The bonding factor is what’s missing, that bond you have from knowing someone growing up. Media really does like to hype up the long lost family stories and what they push is far from reality in many cases. Anyway, here’s the wiki page for the documentary.

They use the word “exist” as the implication is that we want them to die. The truth is that it is a very small minority of women who don’t want them to live. I cannot say I have personally seen any other women expressing this sentiment, but I’m sure there’s a non zero number of women who wish they would die—but again, so small that it’s practically unheard of. It’s a word they use to reinforce their own victimization, and isn’t a reflection of reality. It’s another reason why words and their meaning(s) are important. We need to push back when they hijack words.

When you donnate blood you’re also donating the microplastics in your blood. Your body will make more blood but your concentration of microplastics goes down. Well, I guess they don’t want my blood. I had to make the decision between possible vaccine side effects or getting COVID again and an even worse case of long COVID. I would not want to live if I got a worse case of LC so I got Novavax (non MRNA) and thank goddess, no side effects.
I’m in that sub because in theory I want to donate, but I’m not healthy enough to do so (multiple deficiencies including chronically low electrolyte levels). I know I’d pass out if I donated. Shit, I already get close to passing out when my sodium dips.

If you’re in the USA, I highly suggest the TooGoodToGo app. (I’m not sure if it’s available elsewhere.)
Restaurants and such list the extra food they have for a greatly reduced price. My area only ever had 2 places in the past so I stopped checking it. Well, I logged in last night and found a local bakery that has gluten free stuff. I ordered the $6.99 package. You don’t get a choice in what you get, however the owner was nice and gave me all gluten free baked goods. I got muffins and cake and a flatbread and a pumpkin roll. This stuff is so good, but thankfully the bakery is 20 minutes away, lol, or else I’d be buying waaaay too much stuff.
Definitely check it out, because even if there’s just one place in your area that participates, it could really save you some money as long as you’re not picky about what you get.

I have known some gay men who do have that lilt to their voice, or have natural mannerisms which could be deemed to be “effeminate” but this is so much less than the men who are out there putting on an act, playing up the effeminate stuff in order to be “more” gay.

Chipotle is no longer reasonably priced. I jumped ship when I realized I could make a lot more food and have leftovers for days for the same price. Plus, their “reward” program is BS. I think you need to buy like 20 burritos to get one free or some crap like that, plus your reward points expire if you don’t keep going regularly. Losing all your points is enough to make you stop caring about building them up, and then in turn you don’t care as much about going back.
I do find it amusing that Chipotle tried to cater to the poorest age cohort in society and it backfired.
(I belong to a reward program for another restaurant and my points have been building up for years despite not having eaten there since pre pandemic. Yeah, that’s how to not piss off your customers.)
