I think the confusion is because Key is used for both the private and the public part. Maybe renaming the public "key" to Public Lock would help a ton, to differentiate between the public and private parts (🔐). Everyone "locks" messages for you with the Public Lock you gave them, your Private Key can unlock those messages (🔒+ 🔑 = 🔓)
