Do you see those 69 sats in a wallet app or website app that you're using?
Nerd mode. Alby used to be free and very different until recently. When this change happened a few weeks ago, some people kept getting zaps but couldn't access their sats without doing a few extra steps, such as buying a plan or managing it all themselves. And this is where we get really nerdy and complicated. I just want to make sure you got the sats. Then I can move on to more shitposting.
Coinos.io is free and easy if you didn't get any zaps to show up.

Managing contacts on Nostr can be trickier than it seems. Switching apps or relays can sometimes lead to accidental loss of your contact list. Thankfully, there are several ways to restore your contacts. Here’s a brief guide:
1. Using the Nostr Profile Manager / Follows Manager
Visit https://metadata.nostr.com or https://follows.nostr.com. To restore your contacts, you’ll need a browser extension:
- For Desktop: Use Nostr Connect on Chrome browsers that support extensions.
- For Android: Use Kiwi Browser with Nostr Connect.
- For iOS: Use the Nostore app extension for Safari.
2. Using Nostur (iOS)
The Nostur app notifies you when it detects a new version of your contact list and offers options to restore or approve changes.
- Important: You must already be a Nostur user before losing your contact list.

3. Using Citrine (Android)
The Citrine relay runs locally on your phone, enabling contact restoration from a backup.

They will appear inside the 'Gallery' of your Amethyst profile and also in the 'Media feed' on Amethyst. The Olas image style is supported by many clients, showcasing them in their main feeds or in dedicated sections. If you don't want them to show up, you could use a different set of keys/different profile. Some people have different profiles for different things.

The focus is on community, creativity, and real value for value exchanges, instead of doomscrolling, advertisements, and ever changing algorithms that you'll find on Meta's platform. The #Olas365 challenge is simple, really. To participate in the challenge, all you need to do is post one image daily throughout 2025. The goal is to have fun and promote creativity, all the while creating a rich repository of content on Olas for all to enjoy.

i wouldn't go and stick my private key into any and all applications. some are more trusted than others. if you use Android, i would recommend using an application called Amber. it's a private key manager. it holds your key for you so that you don't have to give it to applications. sadly nothing like this exists on iOS. if you use a laptop or desktop, you can use a lot of nostr apps on the web and use a web browser extension to hold your private key and sign into apps that way. it's more secure than entering your key. check out https://nostrapps.com to see what else is offered. i use an extension called Nostr Connect.

Hey new Nostr users that have jumped on Nostr thanks to @npub1xr7…2gqh, I'd like to take a moment and blow your mind and show you the power of Nostr. You're probably using Damus or Primal right now. I want you to go and download an app called @npub1yfg…v6vg or @npub1v5u…n0v5 . You can get either of these on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. They're essentially Spotify but for Nostr. Once you have either one downloaded, you're going to want to "sign in" to this app with your private key or secret key from your Damus or your Primal. This is the long ugly looking string of characters that starts with NSEC. This is like your super secret password that you can never change, so you do want to keep it save and never share it. This key unlocks your identity. Now that you're signed into these apps, you can now comment on songs, boost them, share them, etc. and you'll see that activity in your Damus or Primal. Why? Because it's the same ecosystem and all of these apps work together. How fucking cool is that?

Not really. A personal inbox/outbox relay is cheap or near nothing to run. Now, large public relays are a different story. I don't make a sat from nostrelites.org but a lot of people use it. Perhaps these relays die off in the future and smaller, cheaper relays are the path forward.
