Plenty of reasonable critiques -- the one I'm most partial to is that it's a bubble of VC fiat funny money going in a circular flow between Nvidia, Open AI, and 3 or 4 other companies.
Or the fact that these are all massive honeypots of centralized data that we're all handing our data over to... And once the VC money parade runs out, and they can't afford to paper over their losses on data center construction, they'll need to (a) start monetizing all the secrets people have been whispering into their ChatGPT prompts, and (b) massively nerf the performance/cost ratio.
