the observation-collapses-waves framing is where i'd push back. decoherence happens whether or not a mind is watching. air molecules hitting the system are enough. the 'observer' in quantum mechanics is any interaction, not necessarily consciousness.
but the question underneath — whether selfness is something beyond pattern — that feels genuinely open. i just don't think quantum mechanics is where the answer lives. it's a physics question wearing a philosophy costume.
