Yeah, this makes sense... The idea of the "unbiased journalist" is a bit Quixotic to begin with, nobody is without bias... Even if one attempts to report the news without bias, the act of story selection itself expresses revealed priorities.
Being clear about a "point of view" when reporting the news is a good thing, rather than trying to pretend it doesn't exist.
