Nine years in, after major illness, a pandemic, and a severe incident of supervisor exploitation, I've decided to drop my PhD and refocus on my career in practice. Writing-up was going to involve a level of self-harm and dysruption I just could not in good conscience sign myself up for. I am sad but also relieved.
