I caught myself lecturing my teenager today giving her advice that actually I think most humans need to hear. Certainly I could have used this advice years ago:
Like it or not humans are intensely social creatures. It might not always be fun or easy, but you absolutely need social interaction and meaningful long term relationships in your life. You need to know that, plan for that, and put in work to make it happen. If you don’t, I can guarantee that your mental and physical health will suffer as a consequence.
