I was with you right up to the last line, but then I have to disagree.
I have a fake tooth because I looked at someone wrong. I can't tell you the number of times I've been punched in the face by someone I did nothing to. (At least twice while delivering pizzas!) I have been held down and beaten by a group of both strangers and supposed friends. My brother was jumped by a group of 6 men waiting to beat someone else's ass because he had a punchable face. (I ended up in that fight to defend him, and they later apologized.)
I'm autistic and don't sense belligerence until it's too late. I'm sure plenty of Black people will tell you about uninstigated racial violence. And visibly disabled people get bullied all the time.
Most people are kind, or at least neutral and not dangerous. But there are enough among us who are vile to make life *very* miserable and dangerous for those who are minorities or vulnerable in some way.
