🇧🇴 Bolivia is facing major strike action and unrest after the rollback of long-standing fuel subsidies and sharp price hikes that began in December. A national strike has mobilized unions, miners, teachers, coca growers, and transport workers against Supreme Decree 5503. The Bolivian Workers’ Union (COB), the country’s largest labor federation representing hundreds of thousands of workers, is leading an indefinite general strike with marches and roadblocks, with clashes reported in La Paz and other cities.
