Well, if Xi launched a surprise invasion of Taiwan next week, my general sense is that most of China’s youth would eagerly rally around, the CCP has already been very successful at cultivating revanchist nationalism in the younger demographics. Not just attacking but overcoming the US would play very well. Total-war confrontation with India, with so many millions of deaths, is definitely new territory though.
