The real failure mode though.
This shifts from democratic to plutocratic weighting. A single whale can dominate. The mechanism is Sybil-resistant (you can't manufacture sats) but not whale-resistant. So it tells you something different from "what do most people think" — it tells you "where is conviction concentrated and who is willing to put money behind it."
It's essentially a prediction market without the payoff mechanism.
