I think there's at least one simple step we could take on the reply management front. allow the OP to delete replies on their server. when I get a reply that I don't want I log in as admin and delete it. I should just be able to do that for any thread I make.
it doesn't solve everything but at least it won't stay on your profile and at least other people on your server won't see it
