Yea, the 3DS version has a few subtle texture changes that telegraph how you are supposed to start out which really helps out. I think they also changed a single puzzle inside because of how many hang-ups it caused. Honestly, I consider the 3DS the definitive version, it's a massive improvement over the original release.
