That's one of the big reasons why we are subsidizing chip production over here. It's all about getting our own copy of the process in a place where that conflict wont smash 98% of production capacity.
I think China is going along with it though, it's a lot easier to sell annexing Taiwan if America and Europe has other options. China cares less about the chip factories (although it's highly relevant to them) than they do correcting their historical humiliation. The big losers here will be the current Taiwanese government.
Ultimately it's in everyone's interest to end Taiwan's chip production monopoly, and have at least 3 or 4 major centers of chip production. One in mainland China, one in America, one in Europe, and the existing one in Taiwan will of course remain relevant out of sheer inertia. Possibly one in Russia as well, as I don't see them wishing to remain dependent on external actors for such a critical resource in the A.I. era.

I never said there were "good consoles", only a reasonable basis for owning a console. That was back when they could bring custom hardware that could do things an equivalent PC from the same period couldn't.
That being said, they do serve one purpose these days : being a containment zone for said idiots. Can you imagine what the PC space would be like if every nigger who owns a PS4/5/XBuck suddenly migrated to PC? It's bad enough with cross-play.

Any reasonable basis for owning one died after the PS2 era when they were homogenized into locked-down x86 platforms.
If you want a console like experience, just get a handheld PC. Steam Deck, ROG Ally, etc. SteamOS is a better experience all around anyway.

Such attempts have never worked, US Courts have always held that US-based parties are subject only to American Law alone. Unless they have assets or people in the Commonwealths themselves, they have no lever except trying to bankrupt them with litigation.
Given they have IP-banned everyone from the UK, any court in the USA would find that they have taken more efforts than they are obliged to, to satisfy the plaintiff.

The only issue is that 16 gigs of total ram for an APU with both it's build-in screen and another screen via the dock can result in OOM hangs if the external monitor needs a large enough framebuffer/has too many pixels.
I'm hoping someone comes out with a version of that 32gig ram upgrade for the OLED model. That would just be tops.

All of the Gab users that have adapted well no longer quote post. It was a thing that was done to compensate for Torbo's absolutely broken shit message notification system, which would emit a n(factorial) number of notifications if a thread got sufficiently long enough. Unfortunately "sufficiently long" in this case meant a conversation of any useful length and number of participants.
Fediverse does not suffer from this problem, and all of the technically proficient Gab users (that's basically all the Gab users who didn't get the boot from graf after the last scuffle) have not quote posted since shortly after they arrived.

Ok, I'm going to presume you know how a thread based forum works, because you are still (kind of) technically on one.
Now when you have more than one discussion going on at once, either quoting one thread's post in another, or calling out one of the conversants into another thread to carry on the conversation from the prior thread in the new one, or about another thread, is considered cross posting.
Such behavior generally ends in disrupted threads, and flame wars. Fortunately, thread "forking" in modern social media software helps mitigate this, but it does not completely suppress the bad habit.

Yea, the 3DS version has a few subtle texture changes that telegraph how you are supposed to start out which really helps out. I think they also changed a single puzzle inside because of how many hang-ups it caused. Honestly, I consider the 3DS the definitive version, it's a massive improvement over the original release.
