Haven't bought batteries in ages, and it seems NiMH is still just the thing everyone uses. I used to be told that eneloops were the best rechargeable batteries, but I dunno if that's true as it's 10 year old info at this point.
I don't have Ikea available, but I found out that their competitor, jysk, now also sells rechargeable batteries (and have for a long time it seems) at the same price. Since they were still open, had tons in stock, and were cheap af, they won. Hopefully I won't have to think about batteries again for years.
