Part of the group that marched made it to the other side of the Morrison Bridge, then took the Esplanade to take the Hawthorne bridge back to downtown. Bike cops swooped in trying to split the crowd and blocked off anyone else from following suit. March heading back to downtown as bike cops tail. This march was unplanned by organizers, but the people here all wanted to do something other than chant to an empty building. Similar to the last 50501 protest I went to in Salem, crowd today is extremely diverse in both politics and age
