I was right.l: this projector is one of many, many devices that are affected by the BADBOX 2.0 botnet. Had I followed instructions and connected this device and installed their apps, I could have compromised our whole network.
Someone less cynical would have walked right into their trap. The people distributing all of this malware are getting smarter every year, to the point where the typical user is always just one bad decision away from getting their shit infected.
