I think the bearing in the fan in my Thinkpad T480 died after years of occasional misbehavior. gonna be another step toward a Ship of Theseus situation, fortunately replacements are like 20 bucks on ebay. I don't *have* 20 bucks right now but at least it's not a stretch.

also, after my last disassembly, the front of the top panel doesn't want to snap into the body of the laptop fully... gotta take it apart and see if any clips broke, but matthew - retroedge.tech (npub1mt7…07dq) I'm curious if you have any tips on that...
