you're mostly correct here about the bullshit nature of all of this, i just don't like seeing fearmongering that suggests of some sort of fully autonomous evil computer stealing our money (not that you're directly saying that, but someone who doesn't know what "AI" means could easily misinterpret as such...) when the reality is that the guy who used to type "cute puppy videos" into Google search is now just typing the same into ChatGPT.
