the point I'm making is that the Titanic was designed to be unsinkable, built to be unsinkable, and marketed as unsinkable. It was her captain's confidence in her unsinkability that led to her running at full speed in fog through a known iceberg area.
What she suffered was an incident which the careful, competent, professional engineers who designed her had not foreseen.
