Indeed, back in 1972-74, I was a member of a crew which produced what in those days was called an 'underground magazine', and we (illegally of course, we were all anarchists) republished that cartoon in a special issue on the Club of Rome Report.

I repost a lot of requests for help from #Gaza. But what worries me is that the people who follow me will come to feel overwhelmed by this. I feel overwhelmed myself. So many people urgently need help, and I personally cannot help very many.
And it is very hard, on Wednesday each week, to decide who among all those in need I can afford to help this week.

We are going to lose so much productive land. We are (on a global scale) going to have to have so much less food. At least a third of the global population will be climate refugees – facing xenophobia, exclusion and exploitation – by 2050. And he's blasé about it.

aye, but: the whole point of taxes is to redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor. The billionaire tech bros want to pay exactly the same for their public services as disabled single parent POC whom they would not dream of employing.

where in the world do you have an appointed legislative chamber that isn't corrupt? Ours includes many people who have simply bought their way in, including one who is the son of a very senior foreign spy from a hostile country, and others who are there simply because they were friends and/or sexual partners of former prime ministers.
