Im struggling with even basic tones, lol. My kids are in a mandarin class online -- we found a great older chinese lady who does immersion/teaching for kids, and I hear those tones. Mom is teaching them sign language also.

(Im not really in the class with them but I hear it and I sometimes speak along)

The tones are among the hardest things for the english tongues because we have very simple, basic tones that arent even really part of the language. You know, when I ask you a question I use the "question" tone, but the question I ask is the same even if I use a different tone.
