Hiking Heliotrope ridge part 3. Mt.Baker is an active(ish) volcano that last noticeably erupted in the 1850s. It's covered with a number of glaciers, and some descend far enough to be reachable on foot without ropes or technical skill. In summer they melt in torrents of water that just gush off the mountain. I had to ford this one, it's about knee deep but swift enough to sweep a person off their feet if you're not careful.
