The issue was explained back then and several times after that. It feels disingenuous to repeat it like this is something new or against OM, when you know why and how to answer: Only old #FDroid installs from before TetheredNet are affected, new installs are not. The message (touch it!) guides the user to enable the AF.
As you know, in #FLOSS, you can always lend a helping hand, but that issue is no longer present in the WiP 2.0 alphas, where AFs are filtered through search.
