I'll take your word for it; as I said, I'm not a Chrome user. And debugging these kinds of weirdo-edge-case-problems is definitely not for the faint-of-heart.
FWIW, I use Firefox and it seems to have no issues with my fairly complicated setup (multiple binaries installed different ways, many profiles, etc).
