like anyone telling you "kernel level anti cheat doesn't work on Linux" is straight up lying to you. it literally can exist. nothing is missing from Linux.

should it exist? probably no. it's a terrible idea. please, just do server side validation and don't send the client stuff the player shouldn't know. kernel anti cheat is absolutely an anti-feature

but can it exist? yes!! you can even make it vaguely trustworthy by open sourcing it, without compromising the integrity of the anti-cheat system!!!

the only reason these games don't run on Linux is because the developers are actively preventing you from doing so. they could literally either port it to Linux and keep their shitty model , or simply remove this anti-feature and let proton do its magic.
