The constant exposure to altered imagery enforcing a certain subset of beauty standards portrayed as "normal" or "every day", while in reality requiring plastic surgery, hours of make-up and lighting prep and image manipulation on top. I.e. It's wholly unrealistic for the vast majority of the population.
It... it harms adolescents, ruins women's self-esteem and gives *everyone* unachievable expectations.
The unhealthy beauty standards set by the tabloid industry of the (f.ex.) the 90s and 00s is down spoonfed to us all through Snapchat, Instagram and other similar platforms. It's so not healthy for people
