Time to start extracting ourselves from this relationship.
Our media may try to convince us that we're too dependent on them, but that was the old US. This unstable and volatile state cannot be trusted. To continue to try to restore trust when they have NOT given any indication that they want to is futile and just plain stupid.
We need to put our energy to actions that will help us and the remaining parts of the free world.
We should also be considering how we will deal with an influx of American refugees.
